  My presentations

"On behalf of Breast Cancer Network NZ I would like to warmly thank you for the excellent contribution you made as a keynote speaker and workshop presenter. We were truly blessed with speakers like yourself who are leaders in their respective fields and were able to tailor the presentations to the audience with great skill and humour." Dell Gee, Conference Organising Committee, 1st NZ National Breast Cancer Conference 2007

I present to small gatherings and to very large audiences at major conferences. My talks are always tailored for the purpose and range from informal and conversational, to more formal addresses, including keynotes. To December 2009 I had presented to around 10,000 people in New Zealand and Australia.

I speak without charge for my time for not-for-profit organisations, mostly to groups of people affected by cancer. I have developed a number of one-hour presentations on topics such as coping with a cancer encounter, building a healing team around you, and coping with the life-after-cancer experience. All my presentations have been well received time and again.

I also present to cancer support and medical professionals on the many challenges of the patient experience, helping them understand this better so as to provide an even more effective and empathic service to their patients. I have a one-hour presentation on the value of psychosocial support for cancer patients for instance, which has proved of value to such professionals.

I speak for cancer patient support organisations at or leading to their fundraising events and to promote their causes in all media. If it helps support people facing cancer, I'm supportive of it! Contact me to discuss involving me in your forum.

"Thank you for presenting to the second breakfast lecture in the Hospice NZ Genesis Oncology Trust 2007 series… We are pleased to let you know that the evaluations have been overwhelmingly positive and complimentary. You are an excellent presenter…" Mary Schumacher, Chief Executive, Hospice New Zealand
