The simple aim of my Programme is to make free copies of New Zealand's most popular and arguably helpful patient support book Life, Happiness… & Cancer available to patients at locations where they are receiving their diagnoses, treatments, or support.

The Programme has already resulted in around 6,000 copies being donated for the benefit of patients in Wellington, Auckland and Central Otago. Since around 20,000 New Zealanders are diagnosed with cancer each and every year, the need for more funding and book distribution is great throughout the country.

The 'why':

• This book is a proven, respected, invaluable information and inspiration resource for people affected by all cancers from diagnosis to post-treatments
   
• Research shows that New Zealanders rarely think to acquire a support resource themselves after the shock of a cancer diagnosis
   
• This book helps people be empowered to actively fight for their recoveries from cancer, relieving the immense suffering that comes from feeling helpless and/or hopeless

The 'what' and 'how': Simply:

• You fund the purchase of quantities of Life, Happiness … & Cancer (minimum purchase 100 copies) for free distribution to newly diagnosed cancer patients
   
• Purchases are direct from the Publishers through me at a cost of $14/copy for 100-1000 copies, and $12/copy for all subsequent copies all inclusive (includes production, gst and postage & packaging to anywhere in NZ): note the retail price is $33 plus p & p. - these prices are very near cost.
   
• Purchased copies are placed at venues pre-agreed between you and I for direct uplifting by patients: typically in a hospital ward or at a recognised cancer support Centre.
